Solaria Energía to fully acquire 5.8 MW plant in Italy


Spanish solar company Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente is in the process of acquiring full ownership of a 5,8 MW solar PV plant located in Sardinia, Italy.
The publicly listed company said in a filing with the Spanish Stock Exchange Commission CNMV), that it proceeds to formalize the purchase of company Serre Uta 1 Societa Agricola s.r.l. for as much as € 24,031,437 in accordance with the provisions of the Securities Market Law.
Italian company Serre Uta 1 is the owner of the 5.8 MW plant in Sardinia, 50% of which was already in the ownership of Solaria through its participation in the Solaria Aleph Generation F.C.R. fund. Financing for the project was arranged by the Italian bank Intesa San Paolo. The plant was connected to the grid in October 2010.
Listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange, Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente owns two PV module and cell manufacturing plants in Span with a production capacity of 250 MW and a solar portfolio of 45 MW.
