Solaria unveils 1.3 GW, €600mn Spanish PV pipeline


A total of €600 million will be invested in the 1.3 GW Spanish PV project pipeline, the solar company said in a statement released.
It added that it will roll the pipeline out over the next three years: 200 MW in 2018; 450 MW in 2019; and 650 MW in 2020.
Overall, the company has a global PV pipeline of 2.3 GW spanning  Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Mexico, Chile and Brazil.
“Solaria’s management firmly believe that, in coming years, we will see further reduction of prices and improvement of efficiency. In view of this, it can be said that solar-photovoltaic power is the cheapest energy worldwide, read the statement.
In related news, China’s Huawei and Spain-based EPC, Grupotec have announced they will partner together for the development of 168 MW in Spain, via both government-awarded and private PPA projects.
While Grupotec will develop the project, and provide EPC services, Huawei will supply its new 1500V, SUN2000-100KTL string inverters.
